Raining. 12.7.09

It rained for the first time in a long time today. It was sort of nice despite it being "cold." (For those of you who live in the rest of the United States, what SoCAL calls "cold" is "warm" for you all.) I got home early to try and take a nap but... failed. Now, I'm waiting for my boyfriend to come over so we can hang out and stuff. I baked chocolate chip cookies but I'm waiting for them to cool as I type this out.

Turns out my December's going to be somewhat relaxing than the first few months of school. I'm going to have intense art workshops starting in January. Every single day except Wednesdays and Sundays. I'm starting to work on my portfolio for college. Mother tells me that I should be focusing on other things than this "stuff." I disagree.

Sometimes I wish colleges would look at you subjectively instead of objectively. That would make a lot of people's lives easier, no? I'm craving some Mung Bean Soup... Or even better; warm Red Bean Soup to keep me warm. Looks like the rain has stopped.

I love rainy days. They make me think and feel better.

Second entry! Woot! I'm doing this through my email, and checking if it works. I'm at school right now. First period. Turns out I have an art prelim exam that I totally forgot about until this morning when my mom reminded me. Really disappointed because I really want to take the exam but I want to go home more with my boyfriend. Sniff... Oh well, I shouldn't get too worked up because I need to get my artwork done ASAP so I can find out which classes I need to take or not take. Mrs. Wan is on campus but she's not in the class. I wonder what she's doing... probably some Brahma Tech stuff.

 

The classroom is now in the room next to Mr. Maine's classroom. The classroom is HUGE compared to her old one. She has the old architecture room so there are cabinets that line aganist the back wall and two gigantic whiteboards. She also has a SmartBoard which is like a projector but touch sensitive. I only TA for her but I'm going to try to get into AP Econ next year so I can try to get her. I hope she didn't read that.

 

Looking around, I only know 3 of the 35 students in the classroom by name. The others are just faces I see around campus. I kinda enjoy the fact that some people don't know me--while others do. Its securing, but then again, insecure. The weirdest moments happen when someone I don't recognize comes up to me and asks whether or not my name is Alice. I generally give them a very skeptical look and think to myself why they would ask a question like that. Then I usually respond with a, "Do I know you?" It's quite interesting actually.

 

Mrs. Wan just came in and made me go to the HUGE recycle bin to throw away some papers. She's probably gonna make me work and do other stuff like she said she would. Man, I hope I can do well on my "exam." Blah. I have homework already though. Half of my wants to reschedule for next week.
